#1. Low internet speed

If multiple people are operating from the same cellular connection then this might be one of the reasons which are disrupting your data connection and possibly that’s why PS4 disconnects from Wi-Fi.

#2. Update of PS4 software

If you have recently updated PS4 software then it might be causing errors as they interfere with the data connection. After the installation of the updates, you would get the PS4 from your Wi-Fi. Although it can be fixed easily and this could be probably one of the reasons behind your issue.

 There are 2 popular frequency bands which are 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. Only the former one is supported by the old PS4 version. Both the bands are supported by PS4 pro. After updating your PS4 disconnects from Wi-Fi then this could be because of the band’s automatic selection.

#2. Close and re-open your game

Most of the time closing the currently running apps in the background and re-opening them helps in fixing the Wi-Fi connection. It is just like when you switch off the phone when it doesn’t work properly and switch it on again.

 #3. Reset the console 

A lot of problems related to PS4 can be fixed if you reset your console. Although it takes a lot of time as well as erase all your data including all the installed games. You have to be quite precautious while you are resetting the console since it might wipe all your data if you haven’t taken a backup.

#4. Reboot the Wi-Fi router

The router could be one of the reasons behind the dropping of the connection. So it is recommended to reboot your router and keep a check whether the connection is getting better than previously or not.

#7. Establish static IP address for PS4

Static IP addresses constitute more stability in comparison to dynamic ones. Dynamic IP addresses are offered by the Automatic IP settings which change frequently after rebooting the router. It also happens when the ISP allows a different IP address.
